Iskcon temple, locally known as Shri Shri Radha Damodar Mandir, has been founded by the Iskcon foundation in 1978. Its construction was preceded by the visit of Shril Prabhupada, Iskcon founder Acharya, in 1970. Initially the area of the temple was limited to about 900 sq. ft. but over time the temple complex has been extended up to 13,600 sq. feet.

4. Sarthana Nature Park
Sprawling over a vast 81 acres, the Sarthana Nature Park is home to some of the most exquisite creatures of the wild. Prior to 1984 there was no zoo in South Gujarat. The people of the Surat city and surrounding villages, especially the students of the schools and colleges were deprived of the first hand knowledge about wild life. Keeping in view above, the Surat Municipal Corporation has prepared a plan for setting up a Nature Park.
The aim and objectives of the Nature park are enlisted below To create awareness about wild life and its conservation among the visitors through exhibiting of animals in simulated habitat condition and by educational programmes.
Nature Park Sarathana is situated at the North-East corner of Surat City, which is approachable by Surat Kamrej Road. The site is covered with an area of 81 acres with river Tapi on the north side and Surat Kamrej road is on its south side. Land is fully vegetated with trees of Eucalyptus, Casurina and Mango etc. The site is an ideal place for the development of a zoo with the new concept of natural habitat design.
The Nature Park is located on Surat Kamrej Road and on the up stream left bank of river Tapi, Which is about 9.5 km. from Surat City and 7.9 km. away from the National Highway No.8 ( 21'.12' North latitude and 72' . 55' east longitude ). 5. Vansda National Park
The conserved wildlife park lying between the Sahyadri ranges in an area of about 24 square kilometers, is an amazing place to visit. This place was owned by the Maharaja of Vansda and from here, it got its name. It has an immense population of trees that have never been cut down to date. One can use one’s vehicle to explore this natural region. This park is an enthusiastic place for nature freaks and wildlife lovers alike. River Ambika flows through it. Navsari district of Gujarat is the place where it is situated. This place is a hundred minutes ride from Vansda town.
There are other attractions within close proximity such as the Gira Falls, the Mahal forest, hot water springs and botanical gardens. One of the better ways to visit is to spend a couple of days in the Kilad Nature Education campsite. You get to explore the forest and learn about it while spending beautiful evenings around campfires and exploring the deep dark jungles during daytime. In fact the entry point is at Kilad village, 10 km from Vansda and 3 km from Waghai. The other entry at Navtad village has been closed.

The march began in Sabarmati, Ahmedabad on 12th March 1930 with Mahatma Gandhi and a group of 78 people. It went on for 24 days, until 6th April 1930. As the march progressed, the news of the protest spread all over the country and followers from different parts of India joined Mahatma Gandhi.
The Salt marshes of Dandi were the site for one of the most important events in india's Independence Movemnet.In 1930,Mahatma Gandhi undertook the Salt Satyagraha protesting against the British salt laws.He Walked from Ahmedabad with a group of followers that kept growing at each stage of his protest march. At Dandi, he plucked a handful of saline mud and seawater, producing salt in producing salt in protest against the British monopoly on salt production.This simple act got much national support and is credited with breaking the back of the Raj in India. Surat lies 234 km from Ahmedabad, 131km from Vadodara, and 297 km from Mumbai. Bus stations, both ST and private, are on the eastern edge of the city.

13. Tithal Beach
Tithal Beach that you can include in your itinerary. It is situated on the coastline of the Arabian Sea near Valsad. It is popular for its black sand which attracts many tourists per year. The water here is cleaner compared to some of the other beaches on south Gujarat coast. It is a great location for family fun.

15. Chintamani Jain Temple
Chintamani Jain Temple is Located in Surat, Chintamani Jain Temple is easily accessible. Chintamani Jain Temple is located in a very good area and is just about 7 km from Surat Railway Station. You can travel to this place by hiring a cab or you can travel by local bus.
One of the oldest Jain temples in Surat, Chintamani temple was built in 1699 AD during the rule of Aurangzeb. It is located in the MorajiNagar area of Surat, which is almost in the middle of the city and hence easy to access from any part of Surat. During 12th century AD, there ruled a king called Kumarpal. He belonged to the Solanki dynasty and kept Acharya Hemchandraji as his advisor. The Acharya was a Jain preacher, poet and philosopher, and under the rule of Kumarpal there was overall prosperity in the kingdom. Chintamani temple is said to be constructed to honour those great people.
